There were two challenges at this show, one was called "The Doors of Modesto" and the other had 24 quilters do a quilt with colors of the color wheel.

Hope you enjoyed the show.
Til next time, Ronda
Ronda, it looks like they had a lot of variety at the show. The first picture you took looks like it's of paintings, especially the purple door with the white chair. I'm so boring with my 2 1/2" squares, but it's what I'm comfortable with so I'll stick with them.
ReplyDeleteRose it was a medium sized show, it did have a good variety. You're an expert at 2 1/2 inch squares.
DeleteWow, so many beautiful quilts!
ReplyDeleteHi EvalinaMaria, what a beautiful name. Thanks for visiting, hope you come back. Ronda
DeleteThere really are some amazing quilters out there. Thank you for sharing. x
ReplyDeleteLove those colour wheel quilts and the waterfall quilt is amazing! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWish the pictures were better, hard to get at a busy quilt show.
DeleteHi Rhonda, I visited your blog but didn't had time to leave a comment. The quilts are beautiful and I'm amazed that someone would go to the trouble to save all the salvage to make a quilt. It must have taken a lot of time and thread. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI still haven't received any visit from Vicki about the Grow your Blog Party and my blog name name is still not on her list.

Hi Julia, I wonder if the person who did the selvage quilt had friends donate thei selveges to her?
DeleteDid you email Vicki about the GYB party? I can see how she might accidentally miss someone with over 400 participants.
hi ronda, i love the quilt show, my favorite is the dresses one! hawaiian quilting is a very old tradition here in hawaii, i have 3 vintage ones i have collected and someday , haha, i have always wanted to learn this skill, we shall see! aloha, angi in hana
ReplyDeleteHi Angi, I'm familiar with Hawaiin quilts, they are beautiful. How lucky to have 3 of them. If you want to try quilting go for it, you can do something small to see if you like it. If you don't like it, nothing lost but a little time.
DeleteWhat beautiful quilts! Thank you so much for sharing these lovely pictures, Ronda!
ReplyDeleteYour welcome. Thanks for stopping by.
