Busy few days-Ladies progress

Golf, craft fair, and pulled some loops---good times.

Played golf with MM, look at my wonderful form:

Form may not be great but the result was.

Yes it is REALLY the results of MY approach shot. I also out drove MM on one hole and had a birdie on another, good golf day.

Speaking of birdies, baby goslings were out and about.

On Saturday I went to the Vintage Days craft fair at Fresno State University. Can you tell that their mascot is a Bulldog?

.

This is an annual event and draws huge crowds. I was there as they were opening to avoid the crowd. Vendors seemed to be the same as last year but it was fun to be out and about. I found a shady oasis on the outskirts of the fair:

A beautiful grove of Japanese Maples.

After the fair I went to some thrift stores hunting for wool garments. Not only did I find several wool garments but they were half off---oh joy. I spent Sunday morning taking apart wool skirts, pants and blazers.

I've started the background of the Ladies:

I think I need to outline the arms and maybe the legs of the orange dress lady, they disappear into the sky.

Suppose to be in the 80's today, think I go out and enjoy the day.

Until next time, Ronda

  2. That looks like a lovely place for a fair - I would have gravitated to those Japanese Maples too! Glad you're having lots of kinds of fun :)

  3. You are enjoying a great day and having fun golfing, lucky you.
Hey that rug is coming along fantastic.
I love Japanese maples too, there are so many different beautiful varieties.
Great shot of the goslings with mom and dad.

  4. Hi Julia, hope your weather is turning to spring. I think it's interesting how the background changes the look of a rug. I've made quilts so it shouldn't have been such a surprise to me.
