I received a nice surprise in my email inbox this morning from Quinn from Comptonia.blogspot.com letting me know that I won one of her Grow Your Blog giveaways, I chose a cool eyeglass case from Kyrgyzstan, it's the black one at the top of the picture. Thank you Quinn.
Quinn is a brand new blogger, go visit her at Comptonia and tell her Ronda sent you.
Last night I finished hooking my first rug, it's little so it will probably end up being the front of a pillow. It is off the frame, steamed and laying flat for 24 hours. It deserves a rest after all the pulling I put it through.
I'm trying to decide what to do next. I have a wooden bench and I may make a rug for the top of it. I have a template cut out but all that blank paper staring at me isn't giving much inspiration.
I joined the "10 Minute a Day Rug Hookers" sponsered by Red Jack Rugs which means I will work on something rug related 10 minutes a day 6 days a week for 6 months. Sounds doable, we'll see.
Yesterday I went to the Embroidery Club at my LQS, it was okay but probably not for me. The ladies were into stumpwork and goldwork, much too detailed for me. Give me a stem stitch or a backstitch and I'm good to go.
Hubby works tonight so I get to watch Downton Abbey, I love that program.
Til later, Ronda

It's amazing how much you can accomplish with ten minutes a day. Happy hooking!
ReplyDeleteI did the 10 minutes a day hooking on my rug and it does work. I usually pent more than that on it though.
ReplyDeleteI still spend at least 10 minutes a day on Rug Hooking Daily and it's all rug related so I guess I'm still doing 10 minutes a day in a way.
I'm behind commenting on all the blogs but at least I did a post. There never seem to be enough minutes in the day to do it all and it's catch up time again..
