Blossom Trail

If you ever get an opportunity to visit central California you might want to plan your trip when the orchards are in bloom----between mid February and mid March. The weather is usually in the mid to high 60's and the scenery is breath taking.

This is a view over the tops of the orchards looking toward the Sierra Nevada Mountains:

The peach, nectarine, plum, apricot and almond orchards put on quite a show. Here are some close ups:

Dark pink, light pink, white, it's hard to pick a favorite.
Hope you enjoyed a taste of California.
Til next time Ronda

  1. I love flowering trees in the spring. Nice photos

  2. Absolutely incredibly beautiful signs of nature at her very best. Thanks for sharing. Hugs Judy

  3. Stunning! So much color.

I greatly enjoyed buying sacks of local fruit at farm stands when I visited Yosemite and Sequoia a few years ago. Am looking forward to a return trip, but I've missed the fruit trees blooming for this Spring, apparently. Oh well, maybe I'll get there in time for the actual fruit!

    1. Hi Quinn, The blossoms are beautiful but getting to enjoy all the wonderful fruit is even better. Hope you visit again soon.

  4. ah...ah...ah choo! Sorry, couldn't resist. Actually, I have no memories of blossoms when I was still living there. Vines, yes. Orchards blossoming, no. There were orchards, I believe, I just can't seem to remember anything blooming. Strange. Great photo's. Love to all.
