I'm taking Deanne Fitzpatrick's Wild with Wool class. Deanne doesn't follow too many rules and challenges us to use materials other than wool strips. Here is my little project, a house in a field.
First version:
I didn't like the sky. I decided the sky stitches needed to go across instead of down so I changed it:
It was bath time. The good thing about having a 5 lb dog is that she doesn't have much say about it. She can try to hide and she can make herself VERY HEAVY but I can still pick her up and put her in the sink. Afterwards she has quite the attitude, zooming around like a puppy letting me know her opinion on the matter.
Daylight Saving time makes me appreciate being retired. I can get up whenever and not worry about the time. When I was working I hated the Monday after Daylight Savings Time, I was in a very bad mood because of losing one hours sleep. It took me an entire week to recover.
Hopefully the time change isn't too hard on you. I hope you have a good Monday. Ronda

I like the sky better now. Not having a pattern is hard for me but I'm learning a lot.
Miss Roxy had a tramatic morning:

Poor, poor Roxie! I bet she smells good, though. She's much cuter after her blowdry.
ReplyDeleteHi Rose, She really needs a haircut but she won't get her summer haircut for a few more weeks.
DeleteMiss Roxy doesn't LOOK like she had a traumatic experience. She looks like she's thinking, O.K. try THAT one more time! I'm ready for ya! Actually she looks happy it's over with...again. Our "Zomer tijd" daylights savings time goes in effect this coming weekend. The saturday night, I believe. Uncle Keith never went in for that hocus-pocus with time. He kept his watch (winter time) the same the whole year through.
ReplyDeleteThere's the usual storm in a teacup here every time we change time, but it never amounts to anyone doing anything about what was and is an arbitrary decision taken years ago concerning trying somehow to make more money...or something like that. I'll have to look the reason up (again) why some countries decided to do agree to impliment this. Hope all is wel. I'm glad your getting (more ;) ) time to enjoy your hobbies.
Love, Your brother
Hi Keith, I heard that DST started during the war so people would have time to work in their gardens after work.
DeleteI am enjoying having blocks of time to work on my projects. I can't believe how many new things I've tried since September. Right now I'm enjoying rug hooking and punch needle, neither of which I had heard about.
Hope you're doing well. Email me when you get a chance.
Love the idea of putting a dog in the sink! If I had a 5-pound dog I think I would also have a much nicer-smelling dog! Piper goes to a groomer twice yearly for a bath, and it is money well spent. I wish I could take her more often, but as it is, she sees her "stylist" about twice as often as I see mine!
ReplyDeleteHi Quinn, Rug hookers say to put snow on your rugs and shake them off to clean them. That's how Piper stays clean, much easier than getting a bath. I love the pictures you post of Piper.
DeleteHello Ronda, I am with you. I wish they would leave the time alone. But it is much easier to deal with when one is retired. Love it, hey??? VBG
ReplyDeleteYour rug hooking project are beautiful. I also like the sky line going across.
I have tried several time to do punch needle and can not seem to master it. Lovely job on your one.
Oh, how I wish I had your warmth and sunshine. Hugs Judy
Hi Judy, You're blog says you'll be visiting family soon, hope some of them live in warm climates. We are having 70 degree weather this week and we are soaking up the sun.
