For all of you visiting for the first time, welcome. I'm Ronda I live in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Central California. I started blogging in September 2012 as a way to share my thoughts and what was going on in my life with family and friends. Along the way I have made new blogging friends, learned about blog hops and parties, learned more about sewing, quilting, embroidery and was introduced to rug hooking.
I would like my blog to be well rounded as I share about my life, the area I live in, my crafts and my discoveries.
This collage shows some of what I've blogged about since September, the projects I've finished or am working, my Mini, my Son proposing to my soon to be DIL and some pictures of the area I live in.
I hope you'll take some time to look around.
I look forward to "meeting" you, Ronda
I loved the pics - especially the one of the proposal!x
ReplyDeleteThanks Annabelle. DH and I were able to be there (along with about 200 people)when my son proposed, what a special evening. I love that picture too.
DeleteHello Ronda, You live in a lovely world and I always enjoy viewing your lovely photos and seeing your rug hooking creations and stitchery. Hugs Judy
ReplyDeleteHi Judy, Thanks. In doing the collage I was amazed at how much I have accomplished since September.
DeleteHi Rhonda, I finally decided to join the Grow your Blog Party. I don't know if I'll get new followers but I hope to find some who has at least some of my interests.

I am a card maker and quilter who lives just west of London and look forward to being a follower. I love to travel and had a fantastic holiday in California 13 years ago. Happy memories. Linda
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, Welcome! London, how cool. I love the blogging world because we can connect with people from all over the world. I was actually at a quilt show today so I haven't had a chance to visit any blogs yet. I'll post pictures from the show in a couple of days.

ReplyDeleteHi Rhonda, I'm dropping in from GYB. Love your modern Mini. I have a very old one so we must call it a mini with a small m. It is a 1959 Austin 7 which I've restored. ReplyDeleteHi Veronica Nice to meet you too. My Mini makes me smile, I bet your mini does the same for you. Until my 2 sons married I was the only girl in the family, now with my Granddaughter the girls out number the boys. Love it!
Deletealoha my friend ronda! i cannot believe you are 20 minutes from my beloved yosemite, we did a family vacation annually my entire childhood! we always stayed at camp curry, the tent cabins, my best memories, "let the fire fall"! before fires became a problem, every night the park rangers would send down a ball of fire, down the side of the mountain! he would yell, let the fire fall! my husband is a park ranger here in hawaii and has battled huge fires over there. what a small world, aloha, angi in hana
ReplyDeleteHi Angi, welcome. Did you grow up here in the mainland? Like Hawaii, Yosemite is a special place.
DeleteHi Ronda - thanks for visiting my blog, oneoldgoat! I can't figure out how to reply to comments - used to be able to do it but the option is no longer there. First of all, you are probably pretty happy that the 49ers will be in the superbowl! I heard my husband hollering ~ he is a huge 49ers fan. Second, I love the rughooked postcards and I think I saw in your collage a snowman tree skirt. I can't wait to read the rest of your blog. Yep, most of the major trails have trail registrys. We were on part of the mid-state trail so we signed in. It's really neat to see who all has come through and if anything interesting has happened.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to go follow your blog - thanks for being a part of the blog party!
I am a 49ers fan and have beeen forever. So excited they're going to the Superbowl.
DeleteI'm a CO girl myself, Rhonda...if it couldn't be Denver, SO glad it's the Niners!!!!!
DeleteHello Ronda - I am here from 2 Bags Full.
ReplyDeleteI am a CA girl too - near Sacramento.
I like the collage you put together that showed some of what you've blogged about. Since I like all things "snowman" your snowman penny rug and snowman wool block are wonderful!
You have lovely projects on here. Most are beyond my ability and time (for now). But I spied your candle mat. I bet I can do something similar and be happy with the finished project. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Susan, Welcome. I bet you could do any of the projects I've done, but I understand about not having the time. Thanks for visiting. Ronda
